Wizkid was approved by Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E), a Nigerian record company, in 2009. Wizkid released her debut single "Holla at Your Boy" in 2011.
With the song, Wizkid won the Next Chart award at The Headies 2011. Wizkid then released her debut album, Superstar, in 2011, which was a national hit at the time.
Wizkid released another popular album, Ayo, in September 2014.

In 2009, Wizkid began recording her first studio album, "Super Star". E.M.E. released the album Superstar on June 12, 2011.
