Kipkurui is regarded as one of Kenya's brightest stars, having been a member of the country's victorious team in February in Australia, where he won gold in the junior men's race in 24:29.
He qualified for the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, in August after winning the men's 5000m in 13:05.67 at the Meeting Citta di Lucca meet in Italy on Sunday.
In addition to Kipkurui, Limo stated that Kenya has an abundance of talent in the men's 5000m but that they only need to be trained on mental resilience to deal with the threat of Ugandans and Ethiopians.
