I used to sing in the church choir and I really enjoyed it. I was delighted to utilize my voice to spread God's word. There is no church service that can take place without music, and it was at this point that I realized how much I enjoy singing.
Janet would frequently go to the isolation of her house to write her own tunes. Janet was able to write strong songs that appeal to people's hearts because of her religious upbringing and knowledge of God's word. She learned that God had not only given her a voice, but also the ability to write songs.
Janet and Christina Shusho, a well-known Gospel performer from Tanzania, met in May 2013. They collaborated on "Napokea Kwako," which became a great hit in Eastern Africa. This served as Janet's entry point into the Gospel industry.
It was all God's doing that I met Christina and that we did a song together. I praise God for "Napokea Kwako's" success. Everything was part of His perfect plan.
Later, Janet went solo and recorded several songs, including Uniongoze, Ni Wewe, and Mtafute, to name a few. These are songs with messages that have inspired many people and continue to raise Christians from all walks of life.
I decided to continue as a solo artist after finishing Napokea Kwako.
