Jasper Murume's Biography in Summary

Jasper Mwongera (Murume) is a well-known Kenyan comedian with a thick Meru accent. The comic rose to prominence after appearing on the Churchill show and cracking the audience up with his witty jokes. Some aspiring comedians would surely want to mimic him, given how easily he works the audience and how well he is normally received. People begin laughing before he delivers his punchlines, especially with his popular stage costume and bandana on his head.

Education

In a previous interview with NTV's Kobi Kihara, the comedian stated that he attended three primary schools. The first was a country school where corporal punishment was the norm. This was followed by boarding school and, lastly, primary school at Imenti Boarding School.

Family

The Churchill show comedian was born and bred in Meru's interior, and he claims that his entire family is hilarious. His mother, who used to sarcastically mimic them, his eldest brother, who made exaggerated stories, and his father, an English Literature instructor. Coming from such a family, it's no surprise that he's a fantastic comedian. He has two brothers and a sister, according to an interview published by Standard Media.

Marriage

Jasper is not married, but he has a grilfriend.

Career

Growing up, he aspired to be a comedian, especially after witnessing Eric Omondi's hilarious performances on The Churchill Show. Later, he majored in mass communication and aspired to be a journalist, but he was denied because of his accent. He tried out for a Meru station but was informed he wasn't fluent enough in the language to read news.

He later auditioned for the Churchill show. Unfortunately, he performed a few times only to be met by a disappointed audience that did not find his remarks hilarious. This disheartened him, and he left to work in sales and marketing until he learned that the Churchill exhibit would be touring Meru, his ancestral home.
