Kenyan gospel singer Juliani real name is Julius Owino, he is the 3rd born in a family of 6 (only one girl) and lives in K-South with his mom Alice and dad Killion.
He is currently one of the top kenyan artists in the gospel space and looks like he is not stopping soon.
He was at one time a member of the group Ukoo Flani and performed with them at many clubs and local gigs, especially at the renowned Florida 2000 night club and casino before making the transition to independent musician.
Owino was raised in Nairobi’s Dandora estate, a place that has been mapped out as a hotspot of crime and known as the city’s dumpsite. He attended Wangu Primary School and Dandora Secondary school.
Juliani was initially married to Brenda Wairimu but later divorced only to later marry alred Mutua's former wife Lilian Nganga
Something that initially started off as simple rumours, the two immediately began dating immediately Lilian Ng’ang’a left her matrimonial home with Alred Mutua and the two are now blessed with a baby.
He recently trended online for being broke. Something Juliani vehemently opposed.
With the revelations, online in-laws now suspect that Juliani could be the reason behind Mutua parting ways with Lilian, whom he had married barely 10 years ago after divorcing his first wife.
“Lilian, I met her in early June or mid-June this year. As a man I did not sleep in class, I haven’t seen many women like that she has clarity of mind, clarity of purpose, the kind of things she values, and the self-respect she has for herself,” Juliani told the publication.
In August 2006, Juliani began working with Kijiji Records, whose name drove by neighborhood music pioneer Kanji, at a time in the past of Milele. He featured KORA chosen one, Astar, and they both visited numerous schools and universities.
He has socially upheld causes, for instance, Vina Na Maana-a fights against Economic Partnership Agreements, Stand Up Against Poverty-UN Millennium Campaign For MDG’s and the World Vision Peace Tour-around Kenyan urban communities and towns.
In mid-2008, after the post-election viciousness in Kenya, he got together with other best craftsmen to record the multi-grant winning ‘Wakenya Pamoja’ single and its video.
Juliani was the main ever Kenyan craftsman to be marked to an undeniable UK-based record name, Gatwitch Records in 2008. The result of that organization was the exceedingly acclaimed studio collection, Mtaa Mentality, discharged in December 2008.
Eve D’Souza, the radio moderator, incited each admirer of cognizant music to get their hands on that collection.
Kenyan Groove Awards winner in multiple categories for the third year in a row, and U.S. Talanta Award winner as the coveted male artist of 2008, Juliani is known for his powerful lyrics and passionate delivery.
As the king of gospel rap, he has also been nominated a couple of times. Currently, he is also the goodwill ambassador in charge of promoting youth farming in Kenya.
Juliani has been on an environmental campaign since August 2009, and in December that year represented Kenya at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.
