Karole Kasita's Biography in Summary

Karole is a singer and songwriter from Uganda.  Her birthday is April 25th, 1989. She graduated from Makerere University Business School with a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship.

She began singing in high school at St. Josephs Naggalama. When she was in college, she recorded her first song, Bounce It, in collaboration with Nutty Neithan.  She has been making commercial music for three years.

Karole writes the majority of her songs, with assistance from Ray Signature on others.

She is the manager of the SNS Band. At shows, she performs with her band, singing her own songs as well as those of other artists.

After almost ten years as the lead singer of the S&S band, KAROLE KASITA, 31, decided to go solo a few years ago.

Hello, Karole Kasita; is that your real name?

Kasita Carol is my real name. [Hmm. [Potatoes, potahtoes.]

Thanks to Yaka, you're no longer a struggling musician...

Yaka was a song I obtained with the assistance of a promoter named Otter. After I went commercial with Gal A Bubble, which I wrote myself, he told me he knew a writer who could write something similar, which is how I met Mudra. We did the demo with D'Mario, then I took the demo to Daddy Andre, and finally to [producer] Artin Pro. 
 

When did you first begin singing?

In 2015, I joined a live band [S&S band], where most people got to know me, before going solo in 2018.

It's been five years! You've made a quick name for yourself in this cutthroat industry.

It has been a blessing that I will not take for granted, as this industry is extremely competitive. I consider myself hardworking but mostly fortunate. I now have a total of seven songs. [Among Karale's songs are Binyuma, Yaka, Musujja, More Time, and her upcoming release, Obuwoomi.] 

So, are you in a relationship? Who is the fortunate individual?

Hahahaha... I'm not going to talk about my relationship problems here.

Rumor has it that the special man in your life is Daddy Andre...

Andre is a good friend of mine who has assisted me professionally. I did my first track with him after I officially left the band, and he has continued to assist me.

Okay! Are you still in contact with your former S&S bandmates?

Yes, I'm still in contact with my S&S bandmates. In fact, we performed at Fame at my listener's party last December.

Is it true that there is a wealthy individual who invests in your career?

Hahaha... that's hilarious. I am simply fortunate and blessed. I simply have an excellent, hardworking team and management. It's never been about how much money you have in the music business. It is about your interpersonal relationships and your management. [Hmm, Quick Talk believes that a financially cushioned relationship can push things further. Inquire with Davido.]

What is your connection to Cindy?

Cindy is a fantastic artist. I am proud to say that she motivates me. She is also a good friend who has always been there for me. And she has good vocals in a live band, and she has taught me a lot. Every day, I look in the mirror and tell myself that I want to be better than the person I see in the reflection. But there are some artists I admire, such as Irene Ntale and Cindy.

Do you have any plans for this strange year 2020?

I had grand plans, but Covid-19 has snatched them away. But I'm still optimistic. 

So, how did you manage to balance your music and your personal life?

It's not easy to strike a balance, but I've been trying because, at the end of the day, it's a part of us and jobs are important.

So your life revolves around music and you don't do anything else?

My life is dependent on my music, but with time, I will plan something else. For the time being, my music is more popular than I am, but I know it will take time.

Is there any music collaboration in the works?

Yes, I have one with Gravity and many more on the way.

Yes, it's perfectly fine because it's what I gave them.
