Mrs Mercy Wanjau has been the Acting Director General of the Communications Authority of Kenya since her appointment on August 22nd, 2019. (CA). She was previously the Authority's Director of Legal Services before being promoted.

She is currently the secretary to the cabinet in president Ruto's government.
