Mwanaisha Chidzuga's husband is Danson Mungatana, aformer K24 reporter, who revealed in a previous interview with Radio Jambo that he had to work hard to get her attention.

Zainab Chidzuga, the former news anchor's mother, died on August 12 at the Nairobi Hospital where she was receiving treatment. Between 2013 and 2017, the family matriarch served as Kwale Woman Rep. She previously worked as an official for the Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO). Zainabu served on the board of the National Oil Corporation parastatal until her death.
