Sho Madjozi, born Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif on May 9, 1992, is a South African rapper, actress, songwriter, and rapper.
She is one of Africa's most talented musicians. She rose to prominence on the worldwide stage thanks to her song, John Cena.
Sho Madjozi is a poet as well. Because of her track, which became an international hit, she was able to meet WWE champion John Cena.

Sho Madjozi was born on May 9, 1992, Shirley Village is located in Elim, Limpopo.
She was born to a European father, Marc Wegerif, and a South African mother, Rosemary Phaweni.
Her parents divorced when she was very young but she left with her mother. She has half sisters. Due to his parents, Sho Madjozi is of mixed race.
Education
Sho Madjozi graduated from the International School of Tanganyika in Tanzania.
Her excellent academic performance helped her to achieve a scholarship to study Creative Writing and African Studies in the prestigious Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts in the United States.
She went ahead to study at the University of South Africa in Johannesburg after finishing in the United States.
Career
Sho Madjozi started writing poems on subject matters like politics, identity, and race.
She wrote her poems under the stage name Maya The Poet.
She was chosen as the ambassador for Trace Urban's prepaid mobile carrier TRACE Mobile in South Africa in June 2018.
She became nationally known after being introduced by the famous rapper Okmalumkoolkat in Ngiyashisa Bhe and Gqi songs. She then started rapping under the stage name Sho Madjozi.
Sho Madjozi performed internationally at the Global Citizen Festival:
Mandela 100 which was attended by stars such as Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
She released her debut album Limpopo Champions League in December 2018. The album was well received by South Africans and internationally.
Sho Madjozi is extremely proud of her African cultural heritage. She dresses in traditional clothing and performs traditional dances.
She is also known for her signature hairstyles and braids that are influenced by Tuareg and Fulani ethnic groups, which she considers to be a manifestation of African Futurism.
