Ankey discovered she had a natural talent for the media when she was very young, and she had the opportunity to hone it when she enrolled at Kenyatta University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Gender and Development Studies.
She joined KU radio in 2011 and worked there until 2015. Ankey became well-known on Ku Radio for her exceptional voice, smile, and quick warm charisma.
Today, she works as an anchor and show host for KUTV, one of the country's fastest growing and newest stations.
She claims, however, that this is only the beginning.
Despite her successful media career, she maintains that fame is not her primary goal, but she does want to make an impact.
